The Illegality of Living Collection

illegality of living multa revolution

Rooted in the brand’s core values - fashion as a political statement, rebellion to the
imposed social norms and the celebration of those who don’t fit into an exact mold -
the collection “The illegality of living” explores the uneasy boundary between legality
and existence, exposing how some are criminalized by the police for simply living,
while others are allowed to live in peace.

This is translated in the fabric used in the collection: a collage of authentic multas
—fines issued by the Spanish police— printed onto the garments, turning each piece
into a wearable manifesto.
The collection consists of four pieces available to buy —a bikini, a bolero, and a pair
of jorts— each combining distinct silhouettes and asymmetric cuts, creating tension
and dynamism.

This collection serves as a call for both personal and collective reflection on the
forms of discrimination legitimized by those in power. Each piece, through its fabric,
aims to become a testimony, to give voice to those the system seeks to silence. In
transforming the multas into a wearable manifesto, the collection aims to reclaim the
space taken away from them.
